Ed Grossman, Co-founder and CEO. Ed Grossman’s background includes media, digital and editorial experience. Most recently Ed was the President of Business Technology Media at UBM Tech, where he was responsible for market-leading content brands such as InformationWeek. Ed has held positions at Ziff Davis, ZDNet, internet.com, Jupiterimages and The ACM.


Martha Schwartz, Co-founder and President. Martha has led some of the most successful teams in the technology media industry. Prior to launching Activate, Martha was Chief Sales Officer for UBM Tech managing the sales and analyst organizations for all media brands inclusive of all communities, all digital business, marketing services, analyst, custom events and research. Martha also managed event operations for UBM Tech’s custom and branded event business.


Imran Suleman, VP Marketing Strategy. Imran Suleman is an award winning marketing strategist who has helped companies of various sizes, with diverse digital goals, grow their businesses through innovative web and offline marketing, content strategy, conversion friendly design and engaging, educational copy. Imran has held leadership positions around customer and audience engagement, marketing strategy, and performance marketing with several organizations.


Evan Rinkoff, VP Marketing Operations. Evan is a marketing professional with over 10 years of experience in building and engaging online audiences. Leveraging the complex relationships between technology, data, and content strategy, Evan has been a leader in delivering the right audience to the right clients. Previously, Evan was the Director of Digital Engagement at UBM.


Mike Blau, VP of Finance. Mike has been a financial professional in the Media industry for the past 25 plus years, most recently, VP of Finance at UBM Tech. Mike has held various financial management roles at CMP Media and UBM Tech. Including the lead finance role in CMP Media’s, Business Technology Group, in the position of General Manager. In addition to his finance roles, Mike also managed the Ad Operations, Customer Service and Inside Sales groups during his tenure at CMP and UBM. Mike also holds a MBA in Finance from Adelphi University.


Cori Gordon, Strategic Sales Director. Cori is a sales leader in the tech media space. With 10 years of B2B media experience including print, online and custom event sales, Cori most recently was at UBM Tech where she focused on strategic accounts. Cori works closely with her clients to understand their business objectives and build solutions that enables them to accomplish their goals.


Tara Shapiro, Strategic Sales Director. Tara is one of the greatest sales talents in the tech media space. Tara was most recently at Penton Media where she focused on strategic accounts. Prior to Penton she was at UBM Tech where she was instrumental in the growth of the business, exceeding any and all sales records, winning “Salesperson of the Year” for 3 years , 2010, 2011 and 2012. Tara focuses on building relationships with key accounts and acting as their marketing partner, literally helping their businesses grow.


Lauren Davis, Strategic Sales Director. Lauren brings 10 years of media experience including print, digital, and content marketing. Before joining Activate, Lauren was most recently at NetLine Corporation, where she grew and managed their agency business. Lauren is now focused on learning her clients’ marketing objectives to help them build and run revenue driving programs.


Ray Capitelli, Strategic Sales Director. Ray has over a decade of experience in B2B media, specializing in driving growth and return on investment for his clients. Ray is based out of Austin, Texas and was most recently at QuinStreet LLC and prior to that, UBM. He has achieved success throughout his career by striving to understand his client’s goals and providing proven, reliable solutions that successfully address client pain points.


Chip Klang, Strategic Sales Director. Chip is an accomplished sales and sales management professional with over 15 years in the B2B tech media industry. Chip has launched new products and grown revenue and sales teams for companies like: Bitpipe, TechTarget, NetLine, ON24, Quinstreet, and most recently TCI Marketing Services. Chip is a consultant that prides himself on solving problems and communicating the content delivery funnel story to his clients. Chip is a diehard New England Patriots fan who enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 dogs at his home in Austin, TX.


Sal Silletti, Account Executive. Sal brings many years of account management experience to the Activate team. Sal focuses on customers’ needs and helping clients achieve their marketing objectives. Before joining Activate, Sal was most recently at Healthcare Informatics, a Healthcare IT media company, where he was responsible for managing and growing client accounts, focusing on digital and custom content programs. Prior to Healthcare Informatics, Sal was a member of the sales team at UBM Tech where he held various roles within the team.


Dhaakira Magette, Director of Program Management. Dhaakira is a program management professional with 10 years of experience in sales, public relations, account management, digital and print marketing campaigns, and client services. Prior to joining Activate, she was the Senior Program Manager of Online Events, Client Marketing Services at UBM Tech. In this role, Dhaakira was instrumental in the growth and development of the digital business, including webinar and virtual conference services.

Angela Duarte. Angela Duarte has extensive and well-rounded experience in sales, marketing, and program management. She engages clients and internal teams to deliver strategic marketing services that achieve goals. Angela manages high-quality, results-oriented campaigns, products, and marketing services in B2B environment. She is unflappable under pressure.


Jon Guerringue, Director Marketing Services. With over 10 years of experience in marketing services, Jon brings a diverse set of skills and experience to Activate’s marketing team. His responsive, client-centric approach to managing programs for demand generation, content development, content audit and event recruitment helps Activate differentiate itself in the market. Prior to joining Activate, Jon delivered superior results in various key marketing positions with UBM Tech. He is also principal and founder of a consulting firm serving a small and diverse set of small businesses.

Jessica Warren, Client Program Manager. Jessica thrives in a role which blends customer relationship management with technology and production expertise. Prior to joining Activate, Jessica spent the last 5 years at UBM Tech as an Online Events Producer. Jessica strives to anticipate, understand and react to client needs in order to ensure program metrics are consistently delivered on time and on budget.


Steven Sloan, Associate Program Manager. With more than 5 years of experience in a wide range of tech arenas, Steven has developed a uniquely broad combination of skills ranging from programming and design to sales and marketing. Before joining Activate, Steven graduated from Vanderbilt University and Bowling Green State University, worked at music events startup, Gigzolo, and as founder of his web design company, Eagle Eye Design.


Sarah Logsdon, Associate Program Manager. Sarah brings a depth of experience from the high-tech industry, blending the skills necessary to make large projects come together. Prior to joining Activate, she was Project Manager at Wolfram Research, where she managed projects that helped push the bounds of computation and artificial intelligence by working with large customers such as Apple and CVS Health.


Austin Billig, Client Sales Associate. Austin graduated from SUNY New Paltz where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication with a minor in General Business. Prior to joining Activate, he worked on the Operations and Partner Services team at Agoda (Priceline Group Company), where his responsibilities ranged from managing accounts and focusing on developing and modifying content to meet client’s business objectives. Austin is excited to be in the tech marketing space working towards his professional and individual goals.


Patricia Schnaidt. Patricia uses her deep expertise in the IT market and media to work closely with clients to develop and execute effective and engaging content. Prior to founding BaySide Media, she held top publishing and editorial positions at InternetWeek, Network Computing and LAN Magazine. She has written extensively about business technology, won magazine awards and authored networking books.


Cyndy Finnie, Client Program Manager. Cyndy is a digital project manager with over 15 years experience delivering programs that meet client needs – even the ones they didn’t know they had. By prioritizing people over process or technology, Cyndy focuses on delighting customers and delivering commercial value for the business. Previously Cyndy has held program management positions for UBM, Lycos.com and ZDNet.
